Maybe this is a stupid question, but after 10hours of querying the Internet, I couldn't find a matching solution.

I'll try to make a time-laps with pictures made by gopro. So the pictures are already in perfect order (numbers) and everything works well.

But I got these annoying black borders on the right and left handed side of the picture! How do I get rid of them?

I saw in an Video that it would be possible to force the rendering to 16:9 aspect ratio, but this is will also deform the picture and looks bad.
Isn't it simply possible to choose the best part of the images to fit the 16:9 Video?

How do I do this?
How to do this to all images within the time-lapse?
