Curently I can select dozen clips and add them to video line one beside the other but is it possible to add them alternately to line 1 and 2 with automatic transitions? Same for pictures. That would speed up whole process when you have a lot of small videos and just want glue them nicely into one movie

This rather seems to call for scripting, which we don't have in Kdenlive.

i know the devs are not interested but this would be a nice gsoc project maybe.
