So first of all I want to say that I've used Kdenlive in a number of creative projects and enjoyed it about as much as one can enjoy editing videos, great work.

But my latest project is going to be something called "Skynet's Dreams". The long and short of it is that I want to take a short musical piece written by the software agent "Emily Howell" and put a number of different video clips over it, things about the Cold War, 80s advertisements and so forth. And for some of their length I want to put effects that are actually used in computer vision in addition to things that have a dreamlike, psychedelic quality to them. With the latter there is a lot of room for choice but with the former there is not because they have to be authentic. So far I know the Sobel and k-means clustering effects to be genuine examples of such things; are there any others?
