Which version kdenlive has automask effect working ?
I tried: 15.12.x - Analyze - OK, but after selected "Import keyframe ..." kdenlive crashed. 16.04.x - kdenlive crashed either Analyze or simply put automask on clip... ps. When planned to fix rotoscope? is there any information about development plans somewhere? I use Opensuse 42.1. |

Kdenlive 16.04.1 and later should have auto mask work correctly, as it saw the revamped keyframe import dialog. I know it worked then as I tested it at that time. I've just retested using the most recent git master and that works also. While the automask analyse shouldn't be dependent on MLT too much, make sure you have a recent MLT at least of version 6.0.0 or later.
I also wrote a blog post on the new keyframe import: http://thediveo-e.blogspot.de/2016/05/k ... mport.html Re the rotoskoping effect: there's no ETA yet. IMHO the advanced editing functions have priority at the moment. It seems that the rotoskoping effect will need to have its UI ported over (or rather rewritten) to work with KF5/Qt5 and the developers doesn't seem to be too eager to do this work unless there is real demand. |

Tell me, pls, what a version of melt do you use? 6.0 or 6.2 ? with 6.2 automask doesn't work for me... And - what an precise version of KF used for compile kdenlive ? I'd like to try compile soft - maybe this is specific Opensuse problem... ps. part of trace: Thread 2 (Thread 0x7feff907f700 (LWP 18352)): #0 0x00007ff06a128d4d in nanosleep () at /lib64/libc.so.6 #1 0x00007ff06a128be4 in sleep () at /lib64/libc.so.6 #2 0x00007ff070f3bbac in () at /usr/lib64/libKF5Crash.so.5 #3 0x00007ff070f3c22a in () at /usr/lib64/libKF5Crash.so.5 #4 0x00007ff070f3c675 in KCrash::defaultCrashHandler(int) () at /usr/lib64/libKF5Crash.so.5 #5 0x00007ff06a0a7120 in <signal handler called> () at /lib64/libc.so.6 #6 0x00007ff043bebab3 in filter_get_image (frame=frame@entry=0x7fef94001560, image=image@entry=0x7feff907ee08, format=format@entry=0x7ff028286a2c, width=width@entry=0x7feff907edf4, height=height@entry=0x7feff907edf8, writable=writable@entry=0) at filter_resize.c:246 #7 0x00007ff070d12877 in mlt_frame_get_image (self=self@entry=0x7fef94001560, buffer=buffer@entry=0x7feff907ee08, format=format@entry=0x7ff028286a2c, width=width@entry=0x7feff907edf4, height=height@entry=0x7feff907edf8, writable=writable@entry=0) at mlt_frame.c:585 #8 0x00007ff070d287a9 in producer_get_image (self=self@entry=0x7fef940008e0, buffer=buffer@entry=0x7feff907ee08, format=format@entry=0x7ff028286a2c, width=width@entry=0x7feff907edf4, height=height@entry=0x7feff907edf8, writable=writable@entry=0) at mlt_tractor.c:370 #9 0x00007ff070d12877 in mlt_frame_get_image (self=self@entry=0x7fef940008e0, buffer=buffer@entry=0x7feff907ee08, format=format@entry=0x7ff028286a2c, width=width@entry=0x7feff907edf4, height=height@entry=0x7feff907edf8, writable=writable@entry=0) at mlt_frame.c:585 #10 0x00007ff070d25e4c in consumer_read_ahead_thread (arg=0x7ff028286990) at mlt_consumer.c:825 #11 0x00007ff06886f0a4 in start_thread () at /lib64/libpthread.so.0 #12 0x00007ff06a156fed in clone () at /lib64/libc.so.6 melt... |

I'm using MLT 6.2.0 or rather almost latest git master. KF version doesn't matter, but I'm on 5.18. Ffmpeg is 3.0.0. Frei0r is the latest official release, but not the most current one. Kick your distribution's packagers to package correctly tested and working packages. I'm using Kubuntu 16.04 and have no problems, but I've compiled Kdenlive, MLT, and ffmpeg myself. Suse is a different matter and you can try to make your life hard.
