I'm trying to attach a fade-to-black effect on my images in a video project, however it doesn't work. It just behaves as if there was never a video effect placed at all. Fade to black works on titles and videos for me, just not images.

The obvious workaround is to embed my images in a title, but I'd like to know if there's a fix.

Had the same problem and worked it around by adding a disolve transision to an empty track to the image clip.

Might be the bug I reported when you resize a clip from its default length, albeit I notice it for title clips too.
