Stabilize Videos not possible

Wed Nov 30, 2016 5:04 pm
Hello,

i am running Xubuntu 16.04 LTS and installed Kdenlive.
It's not possible to stabilize videos.

I import a video, mouse right click, "Clip-Vorgänge" and then "Stabilisieren (videostab2)" (sorry for the German gui) - nothing happens. No new screen, no process starting, nothing.

Also I hoped to find a menu point for stabilization with transcode.

I already found some hints in the web but nothing helped.

When I open Kdenlive via terminal there's not really information printed caused by this bug:
Code: Select all
$ kdenlive
Removing cache at "/home/wolf/.cache/kdenlive-thumbs.kcache"
QCoreApplication::postEvent: Unexpected null receiver
Removing cache at "/home/wolf/.cache/kdenlive-thumbs.kcache"
 // / processing file open
 // / processing file open: validate
Opening a document with version  0.91  /  0.91
 // / processing file validate ok
***********
FOUND GUIDES:  0
**********
"Audio-Vorschau wird erstellt (1/1)"

When i close the programm afterwards normally (no crash) a single line is added in terminal:
Code: Select all
QCoreApplication::postEvent: Unexpected null receiver

My version which is running:
Code: Select all
wolf@wolf-desktop:~$ kdenlive --version
kdenlive 15.12.3

UPDATE: I added the PPA and updated Kdenlive. Now the stabilization works, but only with "vidstab".
Are there other possibilities for stabilization? And how do I add them?
