16.12.1 with Nvidia drivers on Ubuntu 16.10

I have never been able to get the GPU assisted affects to work. KDENLIVE will always crash when a clip is played or previewed when it's enabled. One time I was able to get a GPU affect to render by never playing or previewing the clip.

Have other been able to get it to work ?

I can provide more info if needed and I am will to test / provide debugs where it would be helpful.
