Hello all,

I would need the plugin HQDN3D that is said as the best denoiser under Kdenlive, but, I can't use it, when inserted, impossible to change the setting, every slider settings are keeping 0.000 always, either with the mouse or trying to set manually the numbers, nothing works, I see the same problem with other plugins, i don't remember which ones.
What to do please ? without a good denoiser with an old camcorder the clips are useless :(

I am under Mint Cinnamon 18.1 based on Ubuntu 16.04

Thanks for your help

I am using Archlinux and it works fine. Are you using the PPA package of kdenlive? Maybe you could try the Snap or Appimage to see if this issue exists...

Good evening,

Thank you for your reply, i am using the version 6.5.0 from the ppa, i am not sure how to use snap packages under Ubuntu like distributions, and i don't know at all what is appimage ?
I installed the version from the PPA because the older version from the Ubuntu repositories il not able to load my newer project. It has a compatibility problem.
Now the only correct solution I have to denoise my clips is to use the excellent NeatVideo with VirtualDub, but this is not a Linux solution. That really annoys me.

Edit: I tried the appimage package and that is doing exactly the same issue with HQDN3D plugin, i could not install the snap version under Mint 18.1 following the procedure on the download page.
