Hi all,
I've seen a few vids where a title or a logo is "3D-ilized" into the scene. Like following two clips. Title: https://youtu.be/TQkHEss8wvI?t=19 Logo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S7mH8xslDLs Must be possible to make it in Kdenlive, anyone who has an idea? Render in Blender and merge? |

Hi,
If your video is smooth enough, you can probably used a keyframed transition to move your title along with the footage. Otherwise, if tracking is too difficult, your best bet is probably to use Blender's tracking features, create your clip and import it in kdenlive. Good luck. |

There is a motion tracking effect in kdenlive, but I did not get it working. It has been introduced in kdenlive 0.9.4,

My video on tracking - my results were mixed too. And this is an older kdenlive version. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZD0WOsX6B5A
This describes how to use the tracking data to move a title around https://userbase.kde.org/Kdenlive/Manua ... n_Tracking |

Got some experimenting done and it seems to be quite OK for a nice effect so far.
I found this tutorial as well after your hints. Thank you all for the input! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5xsknddF2E |

OK, some more testing done and Auto Mask can come in handy but it I find it a bit difficult to position the text nicely and it easily catches another object. What one can do though, is to user the Auto Mask feature to create the tracking path and then remove keyframes and adjust the keyframe positions that runs away. After some experimenting I did find it easier to create a Composite transition instead and create the keyframe path manually by adding steps.
I found a video that explains the Composite way of doing it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M8hC5FbIzdE And here is a result from some testing comparing the two ways of doing it: https://youtu.be/xNnhgyBwol0 |
