I'm blurring faces in video but if the face is close to the camera even when masked it is still pretty recognizable. I've tried changing the Macroblock width/height and Maximum X/Y distance settings and don't notice any difference. How can you increase the blurry factor so that larger features become unrecognizable?

Using kdenlive 17.12.0

seems that the size of "blocks" is not changed by sliders.. this is a BUG.. better to fill a bug segnalation!
