Hi.

Does anyone know where the stroboscope setting (https://userbase.kde.org/Kdenlive/Manual/Effects/Motion/Speed) is in Kdenlive 17.12.0?

I wanted to use the stroboscope effect to accomplish something like this:

Any hints or ideas?

Thanks!

Stroboscope and speed will not really do the trick, I guess. In your example video the complete clip when the bike arrives has been cut off some seconds (the missing parts) a few time and always runs realtime. So, take your long clip, place it in the timeline, place the timeline cursor where you want to cut, select the clip and press SHIFT-R at the beginning and end of the section you want to cut out. Then select the part between the cuts and press DEL and pull the rest of the clip to the left to fill the black gap. That will bring the effect as shown in your example vid.

Thanks for the answer. :-)

That is exactly what I did to create that effect. I just used more keyboard shortcuts. ;-) Just wanted to know if I was stupid to do it that way. Imagine you have 1 hour video, you want to make that effect. That is some tiresome editing.

I just want to know if the strobo effect is gone forever or if it will come back.
