Hi,

I've just started dabbling with Kdenlive and already run into some problems with the basics. I positioned a video clip over another, overlapping on separate tracks and applied a wipe transition between them, but can't get it to blend smoothly. The second clip appears abruptly with hard edges as it would with a basic cut, then the editor remembers it's supposed to be making a transition so it starts dissolving, swiping or whatever, and then the same thing happens on the way out.

I tried extending the transition on the timeline beyond the edges of the clip to be introduced, but it didn't help at all. I don't know what more I can do. Is there something I'm not getting, or do you think this is a bug. I'm running the latest version of Kdenlive under Xubuntu.

Something else I noticed is that transitions can linger at the end of clips even when you've moved the overlapping clip elsewhere, and also deleted the transition itself. The only way I could fix that was to delete the clip from the track and drag it back from the playlist. Any idea what that's about please?
