Hi Kdenlive Community!

I want to create a spiral video distortion effect like this:



Is it possible to add your own distortion effects? I know you can add custom wipes, but I'm not sure this is possible with a wipe...

I've been using Kdenlive for a few years and am very impressed by the quality and performance. I'm a software engineering postgrad, and would love to contribute to this project

Sadly, I tried to skim, kdenlive, couldn't find anything.

Closest I got was using the wave effect horizontal and vertical.

All they need to do is port the iwarp effect from gimp (I think that allows spiralling)
