Hi everyone,
I started using Kdenlive for a video project after recently switching to Linux desktop and it's great, thank you! I've not done any video editing before (unless you count using ffmpeg). I had an expectation that when transitioning from one clip to another that I would be able to use just the last frame of the first clip with the first frame of the second, and the transition would be a rendering of the final frame into the first. From what I've read it's necessary to have a second or two throwaway footage at the start and end of each clip because the videos need to overlap for the duration of the transition. My question is whether there's any way to have transitions simply use the last and first frame, or if the throwaway footage is definitely necessary. Thank you! |
