Hi guys. I made this question on stackexchange but no replies
https://video.stackexchange.com/questio ... rientation btw, great tool, not behind most windows paid tools i was using such as Sony Vegas. I was very positively surprised. Thanks a lot I have the last version of kdenlive 17. something I have a project with two video clips, made with smartphone, one is horizontally aligned and the other vertically aligned. I want my project to be horizontally aligned (landscape), but I can't find where to set it, and I don't know why kdenlive set my project settings according to my second video clip, the one that is vertically aligned (portrait). Therefore my landscape video is now cropped. I edited all my videos as landscape (cropping the vertically alligned video clip with the effect "pan and zoom"), lost many hours, but now, don't know why, the project appears as protrait and I can't change that. kdenlive assumed the project properties of the second video clip, and not the properties of the first video clip. So the questions are How to force kdenlive to have the video properties of a particular video clip? How to set the project (project, not clip) video orientation, landscape ou portrait? I went to project settings and it didn't help, since it is already 16:9 and not 9:16 Thanks a lot PS: my guess is that it has something to do with the why kdenlive detects video orientation in the image metadata information provided by smartphones |

Hi, thanks for the reply but has nothing to do with my problem
I know I need to crop the image somehow, if one clip is portrait and the other is landscape I can't set though the project orientation to landscape , because, don't ask me why - I think it's a bug - it assumes portrait instead of landscape (check the image). |

Anyone???!! After many hours of edition I cannot export and render my video. The rendered video appears portrait and not landscape.

Do you choose in project -> project settings -> tab settings the correct project type?
