Can't seem to be able to use the Loop effect. I tried to add some Loops to it, but it doesnt let me insert the loop number.

I have a background video with an animation, and a certain loop. so I want to extend through the interview behind the camera. So a timeline of 3 min and the animation is like 5 seconds, so a loop will keep the animation repeating through out the 3minutes. I can copy paste but would still be better if I have a looping feature that I can drag the background animation for the remaining minutes.

I checked but it seems the only way to do that is by copy at the moment.
It’s on the whishlist https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=351086 . Looping a video would be a nice feature, i.e. for a logo like a spinning globe.

Yes this is important specially on effects like a background video (like the ones you see on the news). Or animated Gifs. But there seems to be some bugs with continuation. Also there is no documentation on the Loop effect. I would love to know how to use it.

Just an idea. Make an animated gif. Import it as a “slidshow clip” and choose the option “loop”. I cannot test it as I run Kdenlive under Windows and I can’t import “slidshow clip” (Bug).
