I'm trying to change the hue of only one object in a video. It's an animated red shape, and I want to turn it green.
Currently, I'm achieving this with a complicated workaround: 1) Place *two* copies of the video clip, overlapping in the same place on the timeline - one on each of two video tracks. 2) On the instance of the clip on the top video track, apply the Color Selection plugin to turn the red shape transparent 3) On the instance of the clip on the bottom track, apply Hue Shift and Curves to turn the red into the desired shade of green This achieves what I want. However, if possible, I'd much rather use a simpler method, like in Final Cut Pro X, where you can select a color range / mask, and specify the desired correction, on a single clip + track. Is there any simpler, and less CPU-intensive, way to achieve this effect? Thanks, Matt |

I found no function to change the color direct. What you can try is to underlay a color clip with the desired color instead of the clip again.
