I am new to Kdenlive, and have a (hopefully) simple problem that I'm having a very hard time searching for/figuring out, and hope that someone here can help.

I'm trying to scale and move an image to the left side of the screen, but am restricted to the window of the initial position of the image. I've taken a couple screenshots:

What do I need to do to allow the image to be moved all the way to the left side of the frame?

It’s not that intuitive: you have to hover with the mouse over the “white cross” in the second screenshot and then you can grab the view and move it.
