I would like to apply a defish effect progressively on a video (eg start at 16mm and end at 50mm).
Is there a way to add some key frames on the defish effect ?
Is there any other way to perform this ?

In version 19.04 the effect defish has keyframes.

I have tried to install version 19.04 on Debian Buster (via deb-multimedia repository), but there is no timeline.
No video nor sound tracks appear, lower frame is completely empty.
I will try to investigate a little bit more...

I had that as well. Try with the AppImage. Delete Kdenliverc see here: https://community.kde.org/Kdenlive/Configuration
