Hello,
I'm trying to switch between two clips by smooth zoom in from to the other. Is there any simple effect I could use for that purpose? Thanks for any tip! |

What do you mean by smooth zoom in? To apply an effect you have to make a "zig/zag" with the video in a manner that they overlapping a bit of each other (zig/zag: V1/V2/V1/V2..).
Use "composite and transform" from "compositions". |

By smooth zoom in I mean an effect like in this tutorial for Premiere Pro:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=niMcUQ0Bkxg I know the general rule on how to apply transitions but I cannot figure out how to apply this one... |

Looking at video:
this mean that the effect preset is solded (49 $) and works with Premiere PRO ( that is absolutely not free ) probably there is a very trickly way to make something similar on kdenlive/shotcut/openshot/olive etc... etc.. etc... but for now there are not tutorial about that, for now the goal for Kdenlive is to be STABLE and USABLE for everyday video editing, maybe in future some new "presets" come out.. but for now developers are working on stability and missing basic-functions. P.S. maybe you can try to create a tutorial to create a similar effect? .. other users can add more infos, suggestions.. etc.. etc.. to make it better? |

You can make an effect close to "Smooth zoom in transition".
Put on the end and the beginning of neighboring clips the effect transform and the effect blur. Set keyframes 6-10 frames before the end of the clip on both effects. Do the same on the beginning of the neighboring clip as well. Where both clips meet each other set zoom 130% and blur 600. So it zooms in and gets blured and zooms out and get sharp. |
