Hello everyone,
I generated a counter via "Project" -> "Generators" -> "Counter". I checked "No background" checkbox. However, it feels that it has added a gray background. After applying the "Position and Zoom" effect, I added the counter on the top of a video. Please see below a few screenshots of the video- Image 1: Image 2: Image 3: I am using Kdenlive 17.12.3 on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS 64 Bit PC. I want to remove the gray color background from the counter. Any suggestions, please? |

You have just to add CHROMA-KEY effect on counter clip.. select the grey background as chroma key color... and change variance to make the only number visible.
(tried on latest 19.08.1 and works.) the number is completely black... you have to use "BRIGHTNESS" effect to make it white. P.S. how do you made the transparent grey box ? (just to do a full test with a project similar to your) |

Dear @bartoloni,
Thank you very much for your suggestion.
Please see below two screenshots, in which I am showing the way I created the transparent grey box. PS: 1. Can you please tell me the variance for Chroma Key? 2. I couldn't install the latest version on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS OS using PPA. I am still using Kdenlive 17.12.3. Any suggestions to use latest version. (Sorry, this is not related to the actual post.) - Thanks Ravi |

Thanks
you need to switch to a more "modern" version of Ubuntu... or "try" the latest appimage of Kdenlive (that i think is not working on older version of Ubuntu) https://files.kde.org/kdenlive/release/ ... 4.appimage |

Thanks, @bartoloni. The appimage works like a charm on Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS. - Thanks Ravi |
