in order to have better control when 'on the fly'-adding marks in the timeline, I like to slow down the playback of the time line. I know that I can achieve a fast forward playwback with hitting "L" two times. But how can I achieve a playback that is half speed?

You can do that with a JogShuttle only (at the moment).
