OK, I am trying to get to grips with Kdenlive 19.10 but it keeps defeating me. I keep having to return to 18.04 via appimage because... it works.
Still trying, mind. I have installed masses of extra wipes (took me ages to find out how in 19.10!) but when I go to 'Wipe method' there are only the defaults. Nothing added. What am I missing? Many thanks. I am finding the new Kdenlive... difficult... to relate so I would appreciate the help in adjusting. I know I can;t stay on 18.04 forever. Running under KDE Neon use edition - as Kdenlive friendly as you can get. ***ADDITIONAL*** After posting I thought of a test. I logged in as another user and installed various wipes through that. Worked fine! So this is something to do with my user config. I haven't a clue what but with the customisation I have under this user I do not really want to have to start over with an all new config for one setting! including wine app installs. Soooo... over to the experts! Thanks. |

OK, I've fudged it. Checking Kdenlive out as another user gave me the clue.
After hunting through various folders I confirmed that my wipes were being loaded to: /home/lmc/.local/share/kdenlive/lumas/ But Kdenlive was looking for them in: /usr/share/kdenlive/lumas/ So I had to set permissions and then copy over the wipes files. Weird. But at least I have my wipes (back.) Can anyone explain how this happened and how to stop this in the future? There must be a text file to edit somewhere. Cheers. |
