BTW... you have just to create a 2nd MAP with the highlighted ROAD (increasing size of the roads and maybe color of trace) and after that just use the "ROTOSCOPE" effect to "switch" from 1st MAP to 2nd MAP images , using rotoscope you can create the moving effect of the track. check some rotoscope examples on youtube, you can understand very fast how to adapt this to maps.
