So I wanted to try out the Automasking effect and I discovered it wasn't there. In fact, it appears I'm missing maybe half of the effects that seems like they should be there by default.
No idea what to do or if this is just something that happened in the last few releases? I've tried 20.04 form the PPA and the AppImage with the same effect. I'm running Ubuntu Focal Fossa (kernel 5.4)... Also, is there a way to get the dark color theme back? That seems to be missing as well... |

I'm using latest appimage and there are no missing effects... also the 4-5 standard color themes are still present.
no idea on what is happening on your pc. P.S. confirmed also on Windows version... latest 20.07.70 build: https://binary-factory.kde.org/job/Kden ... age_Build/ |

When kdenlive loads, it blacklists tons of effects. Apparently, there's supposed to be a blicklisted_effects.txt file in a directory called /data/, but it doesn't seem to exist for me. I did confirm the XML files for the missing effects are present.
EDIT: I tried the daily AppImage with the same result. My Effects categories are as follows: -Alpha / Transform -Analysis and data -Audio correction -Colour -Image adjustment |

Ok .. and these are the default categories (MAIN EFFECTS) ...

I did not. When I checked the different tabs, it looked like all they did was just filter the existing categories - didn't expect the effects lists to change. Couple that with the fact that the reference I found to AutoMask indicated it's in the "Blur and Hide" category left me convinced something was broken.
