Hi All,
I'm new to Kdenlive (and video editing) but I thought it was going quite well so far. However, I'm not sure what happened now: After having used the Wipe composite effect a few times (specifically the linear_x method), I can not longer select or see any Wipe methods other than the default (dissolve). The drop-down box where all the Wipe methods were originally now only has one entry, the default (dissolve). I've managed to get it back a few times by resetting the configuration (Help->Reset Configuration) but it does not work all the times and I have to start over with any project in which it happens. I've read about Luma (?) and missing profile folders (HD?), etc. but I can't quite figure out how to fix this. Any one of you Kdenlive-Veterans would have a clue what is happening? What could I try? What did I miss? Thanks a lot! OS: Linux Mint 19.1 Cinnamon on a Lenovo Thinkpad x250 (it's not the fastest or best, but I've got no choice) Version: Kdenlive 20.04.2 (Flathub) from the built in Software Manager |

I guess I've got a hint on what could be the cause: Whenever I customize the project video settings from the default HD1080p 25fps to what I need (Mobile Ad 768x1152 25fps or any other NEW video setting) the Wipe methods go missing.
However, if I use any of the preset options for project video settings selection it seems to be fine. Wipe methods stay where they are. Does this make sense to anybody? Edit: If I go back from my custom-made project video setting to the default project video setting, then the Wipe methods come back as well. |

I can now reproduce the behavior: Anytime I try to create and use a custom-made project profile, the wipe composition looses its methods. I don't think this is likely to be an expected behavior so I issued a bug report: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=423619
