Chroma Key Issue

Sat Jul 11, 2020 9:58 pm
I have Kdenlive 20.04.0 for Linux and I am having issues with Chroma Key.

I have tried both Chroma Key Advanced and Basic with no luck in being able to choose the colour to key.

In online videos there is only one Chroma key option so these may be older versions. When they drag the effect to the track to be keyed the properties tab shows a colour selection option.

For me the clip properties appear to be from the project bin only and not from the tracks themselves. When I click between items in the project bin the Clip Properties tab changes. When I click between tracks the clip properties do not change at all and remains as the properties from the last item clicked in the Project Bin.

I assume there is some issue with properties from the tracks not showing up and this is needed to key the track. I do not see any option to select a key for the track as the properties box for effect does not show up anywhere.

Any help would be appreciated.

I couldn't hear the audio in this video. Was it made in windows or Linux.

I can follow your video all the way until you drag the Chroma Key effect to the clip. When I do so the clip properties does not change to the Chroma Key options, it is the generic properties from the project bin.

Even when I click different tracks the properties tab doesn't change unless I click in the project bin.

Could this be an issue with the Linux version? I took a screen record video but not sure how to share.

Re: Chroma Key Issue  Topic is solved

Hello,

When I went to the menu it was selected. I tried to deselect just to test it.

When i clicked back it showed up on a second monitor. It must have been hidden somewhere but now I can see it.

I can now play around to try and get the keying right as I know other programs allow for multiple Chroma Keys.

Thanks a million for the help!!

btw closing Kdenlive and deleting KdenliveRC file or using the MENU-->help-->reset configuration make kdenlive restart with default settings.
