Tutorial on making guest name animations?

I have been looking for a tutorial with no success as I don't know what I want to do is called. What I want to do is have a brief animation of the name of what I am introducing. The same as on a news program or a documentary when they introduce someone and the persons name flies out at the bottom of the screen saying who they are (name, position etc). Does anyone know what they are called?! LOL I have tried cards, heading, subtitles (that was obviously going to take me the wrong way!). I normally don't like to ask for help searching but I really don't know the terms to search for. I have found loads of things for titling and end credits that sort of thing. None showed what I was after.
