Hi,
the kdenlive function "extract image" (png) makes a timeline screenshot with extreme low quality. How / where can I configure the resolution? I remember first time I used this function, the quality was not so bad, was normal, like video quality. Something must have changed. But I don't find configuration for that. I'm using kdenlive Version 19.12.3 (ubuntu 20.04). If I make a jpg/png by setting area start and end with one frame between, I get a high (=normal) quality pic using rendering -> select png/jpg , only area -> go . Thanks to developers and maintainers. A very goog software! I contribute by making donations! tia Eckard PS: I miss a function in that forum settings, that I can be notified by email if somebody answers in "my" threads. I can't look every day in the forum, it would be a waste of time and after 1 week i forget it often. Answer gladly as PM. |

* somebody here knows if that feature is improved in higher kdenlive version?
* somebody here who wants to earn money updating ubuntu LTS-Versions with higher kdenlive versions? - You can offer this service others, too, even make the knowledge public. I have not the time search and search how a update works. Only concerning LTS-Versions (Long Term Support = Business). This person can deliver the money to kdenlive developers as donation, I don't mind. But I want contact to one person who runs itself ubuntu LTS (now 20.04), has successfully updated on his system and is responsible for the result on my 20.04 LTS. |

the frame created is a project resolution related screenshot... i extracted a frame from a 1920x1080 Mp4 clip .. and the frame quality looks like original. this is a "zoomed" comparison. i'm using latest nightly build for Windows. |

I could update to next stable version 20.12.0 (for ubuntu 20.04).
But same low quality. Then I switched off proxy! Now quality is the same like in video. "Proxy off" is the solution if using the build-in function "extract frame"/ "extract pic". But if I make ich by "Render" with "selected area" and I select 1 frame, then "proxy off" not necessary. |
