Does anyone know where the old film dust and scratches effect ended up?
I can't find it in the appimage of Kdenlive 19.12 or 20.12.

There are still there (V20.12.1). At least a quick search for "dust" and "scr" listed them under "Grain and Noise". You may need to click the filmstrip icon above the effects list to see them in the list. By default only main effects are listed (and I dunno who determined that).

Thanks! That does indeed help.
The "Show all video effects" -filmstrip icon seems like a really unnecessary bit of coding, especially if the default is to hide some/most video effects from the start.
