Alternative to autotrack_rectangle

Sun Aug 29, 2021 9:42 am
Hi folks,

I am in the middle of a project where I have to pixelate faces. I used autotrack_rectangle for that and it did work well. However, the latest upadte (passed on via OPewnSUSE Tumbleweed) disabled the that effect. This blog post (in German) https://kdenlive.org/de/2021/08/kdenlive-21-08-freigegen/ mentions that the filter has been replaced by a OpenCV based version. However, that effect is not available. I will create another post on that topic.

Can anybody point me in the direction of an alternative way to achieve the pixelation of faces (that do not move to much), please?

Cheers

I did download the appimage again and this time I do not get the warning about the missing frei0r effects. ???

Anyway, when using the "Show all video effects" the Motion tracker effect is listed. I haven't tried it yet, but at least it is there.

Cheers
