360 camera clips managing.

Tue Feb 08, 2022 5:10 pm
Hello.
Need to use 360° clips shoot with an lg 360 camera mixed with "normal" plane footage.
GoPro gives a free reframe plug in at this link:
https://community.gopro.com/t5/it/GoPro ... a-p/472250
but it's for Premiere/After effects, and i Wish to use something similar in kdenlive.

Seems this project:
https://github.com/eltorio/reframe360XL
could do the truck, but i have not understood how to use it.
There Is someone that have experience with this tool and how to integrate It with kdenlive?

Thanks

hemade binaries for davinci resolve :(
and seems that he has already contacted ffmpeg team ( https://github.com/eltorio/FFmpeg )

right now i think it's necessary to wait for ffmpeg developers.

P.S. i'm not an expert about 360 videos... but i read that gopro is using the VR360 ... and for what i know this is supported by kdenlive (i see a lot of VR360 effects) can you provide a small clip to do some tests?

Shure, i upload a sample clip here:
https://mega.nz/file/gs8y0ZCb#lAS-CP4su ... XENvhsIbXs

If the reframe 360xl Is an ofx plug in, could be ofx be interfaced to mlt/kdenlive?

Thanks for your time Bartoloni.
My camera is a LG 360 cam (model name is lg-r105.

Android app was removed from the android store, but with the apk from "alternate" store results are really **** (poor linear transformation that destroy the image quality).
So my wish is to have a tool that handle the original file to reduce elaboration steps at minimum.

In the meanwhile, i found this page:
https://superuser.com/questions/1716892 ... rientation

where a user has a problem like mine and handled with some ffmpeg commands to extract an equirectangular clip (that could be mixed with other "nnormal" content).
Interesting are the ffmpeg options for yaw , ih_fov , iv_fov and roll that could be "keyframed" to make interesting (virtual) camera framings (and movements)

I know nothing about 360º but I'm curious...

If you use this filters VR360 Hemispherical to Equirectangular and VR360 Equirectangular to Rectilineardoesn't make what you want?
I saw the feature video at http://reframe360.com/ and I don't know If it is what you want but I can do that using just this two effects but it's really hard to make it seamless.

Sorry, I not even understand the question but I'm trying to answer ;D

I use the popular Insta360 camera, which generates .insv files
And to edit I use Kdenlive which doesn't support 360 video.

So I have to do a reframe by mobile app or insta360studio first.
Annoying. :(

I know insta360studio has a plugin to let Adobe Premiere handle 360 files.
It would be nice if Kdenlive could handle 360 files too.

Are there any news?
