Voice Noise Suppressor disappeared?

Fri May 13, 2022 8:58 am
I am fairly sure that in the previous version there were a noise suppression effect, and now (22.04) seems to have disappeared.
What happened?
I am running on Win 10.

I follow you on this. Same here. I prefer LADSPA's over kdenlive's where it's about audio. And a simple gate can also be set as noisegate.
I sometimes use it in kdenlive and can confirm that it works. Noisegate that is. Ladspa's i use all the time.

Other options.
When project is finished, export the audio track to edit noisegate it in a DAW to later import it back in kdenlive.
Or edit the audio before in a DAW to use it in kdenlive on parts.

For LADSPA plugins you have to install those (at wish).

Ok. Is it separate package or they are part of KDEnlive installer?
I am googling around but I cannot find a ladspa plugin installer for windows.

EDIT: found! But it seems that I installed the 32-bit version, whereas the installed KDEnlive version is 64-bit :(

Kdenlive for Windows is ONLY 64 bit .. and 5 LANDSPA effects are already shipped in kdenlive installer. (disintegrator, dyn-sledge, hard gate, lo fi, Noise suppressor for Voice)

P.S. if you are talking about taking LANDSPA pre-compiled plugins from another windows software (like audacity) nope.. this can't be done.

Under win i don't know, can't tell it it is possible. I would say that if LADSPA's can be downloaded there must be some plugin (kdenlive) directory from which Kdenlive can use them?

But under linux it surely can. ;D That's were my reaction came from.
Here for instance you can see the C* plugin pack in my Kdenlive ;) Info source: http://quitte.de/dsp/caps.html Download source: linux repositories
And more LADSPA's available for me ... Which also show up in audacity.

And in reaction on this topic question, C* Noisegate ... ;) (and some other gates, which can also be set as noisegate, as i already mentioned)
Also to be seen in the list in the image above.
