Context: I have a motion tracker and edge crop effect on the same clip.
This was really difficult for me to troubleshoot, so I think there's a UX improvement here at least. After many hours of troubleshooting why the motion tracker wasn't tracking, I discovered that it was using the coordinates of the original clip, not the one visible/cropped in the Project Monitor. This was confusing, especially because you use this view to drag around the shape's position and size. That gives the impression that what you see in this tab will be what the Motion Tracker is seeing. Is this a bug or as designed? Kdenlive Version 22.04.2 Windows 10 Install method: Official installer UPDATE: Yeah, pretty sure this is a bug. I can't figure out how to use these two effects together. I temporarily disabled the edge crop, got the motion tracker working correctly, and when I re-enabled the edge crop, it changed the location of the motion tracker. UPDATE2: I thought I could be clever and render the cropped version, bring it back into the project, and then add the motion tracker effect on the cropped version of the clip. Strangely, this seems to have the same issue as using the two effects simultaneously. But, if you quit and start a new project with only the cropped file, the motion effect works as expected. |

the motion tracking can't be used on zoomed/cropped/deformed/stretched clips. maybe it's neecssary to add a "warning" message.
