Creating a title template

Fri Oct 14, 2022 7:24 am
Hi
I'm trying to make a template out of a title I'v made.
I've read the manual and I feel there's something missing.
I've made a title constituted by on title setting up a text in the upper right, adding in my timeline a "transormer" effect so I can slide it in and slide it out.
Done the same with another title in the lower left.

After all my readings and research, it seems it's not possible to make a template of the whole thing with the effects, so when I want to re-use the same title (which I want to use for each chapters of my video), I have to recreate each two titles (with a template, that works), add them in the video sources, add them in my timeline and setup the effects.
I can't even copy or duplicate the titles because then, when I change the text it will be changed everywhere.

Is there a better, more efficient way to do this or have I missed something?
Because, for now, this make things so difficult for such a rather simple task,,,

there are no many replies because the titler tool was planned to be replaced with a new version 4 or 5 years ago'... it's a log bugged and no one want to spent time fixing it (because is a zombie tool) i hope that next year something can be done to create the new version. ( https://kdenlive.org/en/2020/05/kdenliv ... an-update/ )

btw.. usually i create a duplicate of the title and i paste effects from old title to the new "cloned" title.

That's unfortunate, I hope that it will evolve in a near future.

Thx for the tip, I'll use duplicate and see if it can work.
