i learned kdenlive (and video editing in general) a few days ago, so this is probably a rly beginner question (sorry)

How do i align cropped videos in kdenlive ?

i use the crop,scale, and tilt effect and the transform effect
i cropped my video to a specific area
i want to center that cropped video horizontally and vertically
but i cant because the selection box in transform effect is not following the cropped video

the edge crop efect's automatic center-crop feature solves this problem but only horizontally, for some reason i cant crop my clip vertically with that feature

Hi dophdaph, right now there is no way to automatically center a cropped video.. usually i move it using TILTX and **** to an "aproximative" centered position

also using other effects you can't center automatically the cropped clip

My solution for this...
Use the Edge Crop, it is a little more difficult to use but it keeps the crop filling the frame, when you apply the Transform it will be in the correct proportion, just resize and center normally.
