Hi all
So, I have worked around most of my editing needs on Kdenlive, so much I don't want to change to anything else. However there is still one thing I can't see how I can get away easily: creating a scoreboard. Apart from having a title for each number and adding and removing them from the video, is there a easier way to do it? (imagine a poker game and I want to keep each players money on display) I tried the dynamic text thing and just changing it in different keyframes but it just changes globally. Any ideas? How would you guys do it? Thanks! [kdenlive 22.12.0] |

Unfortunately, dynamic texts other than timestamps ets. are not (yet) implemented. So title clips are the way to go for what you want to do. I suggest you check out this section of the kdenlive documentation about title templates: https://docs.kdenlive.org/en/effects_an ... late-title
I reckon this could be your solution ...

I will. I usually just duplicate the clips and edit them... Thanks anyway. At least I won't go looking desperately for a solution. |

A nice visual scoreboard??
I would put up an empty scorebord, and on another layer track would put (and change) the scores at wish. Could even be done by overlaying that score with the 'flipping' effect or other nice transition. Could look very nice, real and pro |

I don't need it to be nice. I need it to work easily like having some text and changing it keyframe by keyframe. Imagine something like a basketball match and scoring the points in the keyframes instead of having 120+ titles for all results. |

With "Title clip" would be an easy nice solution??
That's a clip to be set for each score. Each clip you can alter in all kind of way's. And can be positioned wherever you want. Choose font type, style, color, size, etc. Each clip can be duplicated to maintain position and style and such. Just altering the numbers. Left above, where your master files are, right click and select 'Title clip'. |

Yes but if you were to follow a basketball match por a MtG game you'de have to create at least 40 clips for each team/player (two digits for each player it they don't reach 100). I know that way it can be done but was looking for an easier solution. |

Technically it is enough to have 19 clips: 9 for the tens, and ten for ones Put them on separate tracks so you can keep the tens and only change the ones. Together with the template approach using the %s in the title allows for the easiest application short of writing a script
