Hello
I'm mad about to get the envelope effect on audio tracks in KDenlive like I do in Audacity with the Envelope Tool http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/envelope_tool.html. What I want to do is: I have two audio tracks. One with music and another one with cuts of vocal audio. When vocal audio cuts plays, I want to get the music volumen lower. I think to get this, I should use "ADSR Envelope" or "ADSR Envelope with Gate and Trigger" , but no idea about how to use it :-\ .

Please, anyone using that effect?

Thank you

If you just want to change the volume why not use "Volume (keyframable)" in "Audio correction" and use keyframes to raise or lower the volume where ever you want.

If you have any problem with keyframes ask here.

cheers

;D Thank you. That way is exactly like with Audacity, so is perfect to get what I need!!

But however, I need to ask about ADSR Envelope, if anyone know about how to use it. When you have a lot of audio cuts, is very tedious to do it "manually". So, I would like to know if there is some way (maybe ADSR Envelope) to make KDEnlive to automatically put volume down when audio in another audio track begin. Sorry if I should open a new post about this.

So ADSR envelope is an audacity concept right? I don't know of any Kdenlive ADSR envelope. So I am thinking you are asking this on the wrong forum. An audacity forum might be better.

The other thing to note is that lots of the LADSP audio plugings are available in kdenlive via Effects - Audio. And these are documented here.

http://plugin.org.uk/ladspa-swh/docs/ladspa-swh.html
But all this is techno bable to me - but you might get something out of it and find an audio filter on the Kdenlive side that may do what you want.

You have reason. I really was asking about a similar effect to Audacity "Auto duck". But I'll open other thread for this.

Thank you anyway.
