libfdk_aac instead of aac (linux)

Thu May 08, 2014 6:07 pm
Hi,
I'd like to use the libfdk_aac instead of aac
for audio conv but can't figure out how ffmpeg is called by melt.
I already compiled ffmpeg with the libfdk_aac support
but in render profile the option libfdk_aac is not accepted
only the aac (or ac3 ). As a workaround I tried to write a
wrapper shell script and set it in the kdenlive environment
config but it is not called this way.

(aac gives awful quality lately; I don't know what happened
as a workaround I use ac3/448k and let YT convert it to aac )

TIA
Steve.
