hi -- I'm new here.

Two xubuntu 14.04 machines, with almost the same motherboard & built-in audio.
On one, kdenlive runs perfectly. On the other, kdenlive can't play audio:

"SDL failed to open audio: No available audio device"

Other sound applications seem to work with either pulseaudio or alsa.

I've tried pulseaudio and alsa in the kdenlive audio settings (as well as automatic, of course) without any success -- any ideas, please?

SOLVED:

well, I messed around for a bit with SDL packages etc.

Finally I did a "sudo aptitude reinstall kdenlive" and it all started working.

So, I don't know why...
