Howto export audio?

Tue Sep 08, 2015 7:24 pm
Hi Kdenlive users, :)

My computer is not very strong :( , and a would like to tune my audio out of Kdenlive:
- export audio from my already edited video (1 hour show 1050p, 50 fps from 6 .MTS files + some titles)
- edit audio with Audacity
- import new audio in Kdenlive
- switch off original audio in Kdenlive
- encode full audio + video

My problem: how to export audio (without encoding useless video) to a separate file? ???

Any idea? :*

Hi ttguy,

Thanks for your answer, but this is not exactly what I expect from Kdenlive.
For this current project, I can manage with this function because I have only 6 clips and few cut, so I'll be easy to sync audio and video again.

But general function I expect is exporting audio from my timeline project (without wasting CPU and time encoding video).

Any other suggestion?

There is a render profile for "audio only" in the destination drop down in the render menu. Did you try that one already?
