I'm rendering a video with an wav audio (PCM 24 bit) with the MP4 (H.264/AAC) profile at highest quality (15 for video and 192 for audio). Video is quality is great, but audio make funny noises in few places.

To check if it was a problem with the audio files I've rendered the same project with the Lossless HQ profile (H.264 libx264 / AAC) which produces a great audio quality (no more funny noises).

I can't use the second one because is a gigantic 15GB file (for just 9 minutes of 1080 video).

Is there a way to increase the quality of just the audio using the first profile?

Thank you very much for your help! :)

P.D. I'm using Kdenlive Versión 17.04.1

same problem here. render includes random glitches in audio. in mp4 rendering and webm rendering and all the other choices..
and i have the feeling the overall audio quality is kind of bad: even when exporting stems the resolution is converted from 24bit to 16 without notice...

I also am having issues with audio. In my situation, it's a scratchiness, like a dirty record.

It's actually a problem with MLT, and Shotcut had the same issue, which had a bug report filed before, and was fixed for Shotcut, but apparently not Shotcut. Seems to be the same exact issue: https://github.com/mltframework/shotcut/issues/259

this has always been a bit of gambling for me , which mlt version to use with which kdenlive version. sometimes very stable , sometimes just crashing or with minor bugs... That s why i appreciate the app image approach kdenlive offers now, where afaik mlt and other dependencies are packed into the app to run autonomously from the installed mlt etc...
this at least gives the chance to pack one bugfree mlt version with kdenlive. though there would need to be some testing before packing i guess...

When you say "gambling", I remember this site.
By the way, don`t understand how to fix this problem.
Maybe you can explain me with more details?
