I have worked a little with the Kdenlive effect normalise audio and it seems to just be a "boost volume" function, as you have to define how much gain you want and clipping can occur, while real normalization does never create clipping, as it only gets amplified as much as it possibly can WITOUT CLIPPING, that is what normalize means.

Does Kdenlive have such a function at all?

Unfortunately the audio part is weak on Kdenlive (like normalize). Better audio workflow is on the roadmap mid term https://community.kde.org/Kdenlive/Deve ... ng_Roadmap.

Well, the new audio mixer is here! There are now several normalize functions that seem to work, but I wonder:
Where is the documentation for it? There is normalize and normalize (2 pass), what is the difference between them? Docs?

Any update on this, and audio effect documentation in general?
