hey guys idk how to explain this, but when i have two separate audio clips butting up against each other, no matter what they are, when i have them play in the timeline there is this weird split second audio static sound and it's really distracting, my work around is to fade in the audio clip on the right side of the edit point, that seems to fix it, but i'm wondering what this is, or what is going on, and why it's doing this, thank you.

Which Kdenlive version do you use? Try with 21.04. If you are on Linux try with the AppImage or the flatpack.

Some audio crackle was fixed in the past. Your issue looks like an “addition” of waves which can lead to unexpected “noise”. What you have done is the best in this case with blending the audio.

i'm using kdenlive Version 21.04.0 on Ubuntu 20.10 x86_64, so the best work around is what i have already done? just lower the audio in the beginning of the audio clip and fade it in?

Yes, I would do so for the time being.
