Audio Lag on timeline playback (Windows 10)

Hello!

I'm editing a video where I need to time something with the audio.

Annoyingly though, whenever I playback the timeline, it seems to stutter and lag for a second before stabilizing.
In turn, it makes me have to move the play head back 3 seconds more than I need to just to let the lag subside.

I include a recording of the issue along with a screenshot of my audio playback settings. Tried all of them, none made a difference except setting the audio backend to RtAudio, but that has it's own problems.

Here's the output from the debug information button, if needed.
Code: Select all
Kdenlive: 22.12.2
Package Type: Unknown/Default
MLT: 7.13.0
Qt: 5.15.8 (built against 5.15.8 x86_64-little_endian-llp64)
Frameworks: 5.102.0
System: Windows 10 Version 2009
Kernel: winnt 10.0.19045
CPU: x86_64
Windowing System: windows
Movit (GPU): disabled
Track Compositing: qtblend

Any ideas on what the culprit could be here? Thanks!

Have you tried the preview render option?

i can pin point to this: https://invent.kde.org/multimedia/kdenl ... ssues/1617
and a commit that (maybe) can improve the audio playback: https://invent.kde.org/multimedia/kdenl ... e544fe5162

and after that just a suggestion to try latest build for windows (maybe something changed) : https://binary-factory.kde.org/job/Kden ... x86_64.exe

P.S. and also: https://invent.kde.org/multimedia/kdenl ... ssues/1650
