Hey everybody,
I recently started using Kdenlive, and this project seems very promising to me. Yet, I seem to have it that when I render to h264 the resulting movie got resized to 320x460 rather than the original (1680x1050) while not having the resize box checked. Even when the resize box is checked and the resolution set to 1680x1050 the result is still 320x460. What can I be doing wrong, or how can I make a reasonable quality movie that at least is big enough to see without a hubble telescope in the house? Kind regards, Drumar |

Which version of Kdenlive are you using, and which project profile (go to Project->Project Settings)? Does the same problem occur if you try to render to a different format (mpeg, ...)

I use kdenlive 0.7.4, using a custom project setting (as explained from the tutorial) using the following settings:
Size: 1680x1050 Framerate: 5/1 (it's a recordmydesktop recording that I recorded with 5fps to reduce the impact on performance in the game which I was making footage for) Pixel Aspect: 1/1 Display Aspect: 16/10 (which calculated through dividing 1680 by 1050, which is 1.6) I haven't tried other profiles yet, as my estimation was that the nearest the profile is to the original recording, the better the result would be in this regard. I might've been off. As for the 5/1 framerate, I tend to speed up the movie such that it shows as if it was all very smooth and everybody very fast ^.^ |
