Kdenlive is Unusable for me now...

Wed Apr 14, 2010 3:18 am

I used kdelive all last summer for my video's with relatively no problems except for the occasional crash... now I can't do anything. I feel frustrated.

If I drag a single video onto the time line and click play it will lock up the playback after a minute or so. Mp3's sound like slow garbage when played. Even if it is the only element in the scene with no video.

Kdenlive 0.7.7.1
Kubuntu 9.10 kde 4.3.5 64bit

Here is information about the video file I am trying to edit.

It sounds like you are having the problem with the known buggy ALSA/PulseAudio interface on Ubuntu 9.10. One workaround is to install the PulseAudio backend to SDL.
