Hi there,
After creating a project of some homevideo's in Kdenlive I tried to convert the project into a mpeg2 file. This was successful but there's 1 thing I'm not so happy about and that's the sound. After rendering it into a mpeg2 file, the video itself is okay, but the sound is choppy, really choppy. I've made the homevideo's with this cam: Panasonic SDR-H40. Maybe it's not the best of the best, but I'm still in a learning mode :-) The video's are stored in a .mod with a matching .moi file >> i.e. mov00a.mod+mov00a.moi It can be opened in Kdenlive and also be edited in Kdenlive. The only thing i do is importing the .mod files using the "add clip" option and after adding all files using this option I put the .mod file on the timeline track (lower section). Then I save the file as a kdenlive project before render it into a mpeg2 file (just in case of ...). After rendering the project I burn the .mpg file on a writable DVD disc. And that's hen i found out that the sound is really, really choppy. What can i do about this? The sound is merged in the .mod file, the .mod file contains both the video and the sound. And what are the ebst settings for me for making a video DVD? I live in The Netherlands and we're using the PAL video system here. Many thanks! **edit** I just found out that the sound works okay on my pc: a quad-core Intel PC with Ubuntu 9.04 (Gnome desktop).
