rendered video flickers like hell

Wed May 11, 2011 8:03 pm
Hi,

i have a big problem with the rendered videos. I want to make a screencast for some tutorials and i'm using qt-recordmydesktop to do so. The output file of recordmydesktop is fine and looks very good.

But if i put it into kdenlive and render it, then it looks like one of these old CRTs from 1980. Ok, i'm using a CRT here, but this can't be the reason. :D

I show you the two files:
First one is the original from recordmydesktop:
http://www.2shared.com/file/5cmJs1vu/out-7.html

And this one is from kdenlive:
http://www.2shared.com/video/Qd6MYWwm/testinow555555.html

I can upload it to youtube and then it doesn't flicker anymore. But then i have a bunch of artifacts on it.

Hope someone can help.. thanks.

EDIT:
I tried to render with xvid4. It stops flickering, but then it cut's the first part of the video so it's out of sync now.

Ok, now i could solve it by formatting it into xvid4.

But there's still a problem with the original file. If i import a .ogv file, kdenlive will crop the first few seconds/minutes of it and it makes audio out of sync. Why?
