I'm trying to create a disk in kdenlive and then burn it as a VCD in k3b (my system is Lucid). Problem: Kdenlive does not have any preset rendering profiles for VCD (or for any type of mpeg-1).

Question 1: Do I need to make a custom VCD-mpeg1 rendering profile in kdenlive? I can see the script area to do that, but what's the script for that, or where do I find such a script?

Question 2: Alternatively, can I simply use one of the preset rendering profiles (avi, xvid, etc) in kdenlive, and then let k3b do the vcd formatting during the burn? If so, what preset rendering file in kdenlive would be the easiest or most effective?

Thanks for any advice.

Personally, I would go for PAL/NTSC DV profile, not sure if this is the best, but similar quality/size to VCD output
